Chapter 16 BNW notes

While Bernard, Helmholtz, and john were locked in a room by the controllers, Mustapha mond came in shooks hands with all three but it was john who, he asked if he didn't like the society and john responded no.  The controller said that the book Romeo and Juliet was prohibited because the book was too old and that they don't use old things, he also said particularly when old things are beautiful, they didn't wanted the society to be attractive to old things, they wanted all the people to like the new ones. John said the new ones was horrible and stupid and he suggested why don't they make a new one like Shakespeare and one that all the children could read and understand, Helmholtz said that is the exactly writing he had tried to write but the controller said that Helmholtz will never write something similar to that because if they do make a new one it wouldn't be the same.
The controller said that people were happy now and they don't need to change anything.
The controller also said that even science could be treated as an enemy. Bernard beg the controller to not send him to an Island and finally the controller ordered Three men to send Bernard into a bedroom and to give him soma.

Chapter 11 Brave New World notes

The director never went back to the fertilizing room because he was so embarrassed after what happen. Linda didn't want to see the society and also the society never wanted to see Linda. Linda returning to the world state was like returning to take holiday after holiday. Linda got what she wanted which was soma and as much as john try to convince Dr. Shaw that it wasn't right for Linda to take soma, john gave up. Chapter 1 Brave New World

In brave new world people are been  designed to what role their going to play in the world. This sentence caught my attention "Not philosophers but fretsawyers and stamp collectors compose the backbone of society." The sentence caught my attention because it was saying that the society don't need thinkers but the people to do the small things. Also in chapter 1 page 14, a student asked a question but then he was yelled at and they answer him but the student was confused. In this book they don't want people to.adk questions, they just want to be able to do whatever they want.
